Muay Thai/Dutch Style Kickboxing
Muay Thai, also known as the "Art of Eight Limbs," is a dynamic and powerful martial art originating from Thailand. It is commonly described as a style of kickboxing and employs the use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins, making it one of the most effective striking disciplines in the world. A "Dutch style" variation is also commonly practiced with the main differences being no use of elbows and a limited clinch. At S.M.A.C. we teach both traditional Muay Thai and the Dutch (K-1) variation to help our students develop exceptional cardiovascular endurance, strength, and agility through rigorous training that includes striking techniques, clinching, and defensive maneuvers. Known for their emphasis on practical combat skills and full-body conditioning, Muay Thai and Dutch Kickboxing are both an excellent form of self-defense and a highly effective way to enhance overall fitness and athletic performance.

Boxing
Boxing is a time-honored combat sport that focuses on striking using fists. Known as "The Sweet Science" for its emphasis on technique, speed, strategic footwork, and use of angles, boxing helps practitioners develop agility, strength, and cardiovascular fitness. Here at S.M.A.C. our boxing training involves a combination of shadowboxing, technical drills, sparring, and conditioning exercises designed to enhance punching power, hand and foot speed, defensive skills, and overall endurance. As both a competitive sport and a highly effective workout, boxing builds mental discipline and physical resilience, making it a popular choice for those seeking to improve their fitness and self-defense capabilities.


HIIT Conditioning
High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a highly effective workout method that alternates between short bursts of intense exercise and brief periods of rest or lower-intensity activity. This training approach maximizes calorie burn and improves cardiovascular fitness in a relatively short amount of time. Team S.M.A.C.'s HIIT workouts utilize a variety of combat sport inspired exercises as well as sprinting, use of kettlebells, and functional bodyweight movements, tailored to challenge different muscle groups and elevate the heart rate. Known for its efficiency and adaptability, HIIT is ideal for those looking to enhance their overall fitness, boost metabolism, and achieve rapid results.
Lift and Resistance
Weight lifting and resistance training are essential components of a well-rounded fitness regimen, focusing on building muscular strength, endurance, and tone. This form of exercise involves using free weights, weight machines, resistance bands, or body weight to create resistance against muscle contractions. Our specialized coaches at S.M.A.C. employ various science based techniques and the progressive increasing of resistance so our students can effectively target and strengthen specific muscle groups, enhance bone density, reinforce joints and boost metabolic rate. Resistance training and weight lifting are highly adaptable, suitable for all fitness levels, and can be tailored to meet specific goals, whether it's increasing muscle mass, improving athletic performance, or promoting overall health and wellness.



Kids Martial Arts
At S.M.A.C. our kids martial arts classes are designed to teach young students the fundamentals of martial arts in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. These classes combine physical activity with important life skills, focusing on techniques from various martial arts disciplines such as Muay Thai, Dutch Kickboxing, Boxing, Wrestling, Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Children learn basic strikes, evasive techniques, blocks, takedowns, and submissions in order to encompass the entirety of proper self-defense while also improving their balance, coordination, and flexibility. Beyond physical training, kids martial arts classes emphasize values like discipline, respect, confidence, and teamwork. Through structured lessons and interactive activities, children develop a strong foundation in martial arts while building character and social skills that benefit them in all areas of life.
Women's Only Muay Thai/Dutch Kickboxing/Boxing
Team S.M.A.C.'s women's only classes provide a supportive and empowering environment where women can train in these dynamic and full contact martial arts with a greater feeling of comfort and security. These classes focus on teaching the fundamentals of Boxing, Muay Thai and Dutch Kickboxing including all related striking techniques, footwork, and defensive maneuvers. The classes are structured exactly the same as our co-ed classes with the only difference being no men are allowed to participate in the class. Participants benefit from high-intensity workouts that improve cardiovascular fitness, endurance, strength, and agility while learning practical self-defense skills. Tailored to meet the unique needs of women, these sessions foster a sense of community and confidence, encouraging participants to push their limits and achieve their goals in a positive and motivating atmosphere.
